Hardware Authentication
Every record is embedded with an NTAG 424 DNA SDM NFC chip. The chip generates a cryptographically unique, tamper-evident URL on every tap — hardware-enforced authenticity.
Onchain Attestation
Each registered record is attested via EAS (Ethereum Attestation Service). The UID is the immutable anchor linking physical chip to onchain identity.
Gated Audio Playback
Tapping unlocks the artist's master recording — a direct connection between owning the physical record and accessing the digital work.
Instant Royalty Splits
Every purchase settles instantly through 0xSplits — 90% artist / 10% RecordPool. No intermediaries, no 18-month wait. Owners then replay free, forever.
How It Works
iPhone Tap
User holds phone to NFC chip on vinyl record. Chip generates unique URL with UID + hardware play counter.
Server Session
API validates the SDM signature, creates a tap session, and redirects browser to the /tap page.
EAS Query
RecordPool queries Ethereum Attestation Service — looks up the UID to verify onchain record provenance.
Audio Unlock
On attestation match, full playback unlocks in the browser — owners stream and replay free, anytime.
Royalties Settled
The sale already routed 90% to the artist and 10% to RecordPool via 0xSplits — onchain, immediate, auditable by anyone.
