Phygital music record provenance —
NFC tap → onchain attestation → royalty split
Every record is embedded with an NTAG 424 DNA SDM NFC chip. The chip generates a cryptographically unique, tamper-evident URL on every tap — hardware-enforced authenticity.
Each registered record is attested via EAS (Ethereum Attestation Service) on Sepolia. The UID is the immutable anchor linking physical chip to onchain identity.
Tapping unlocks the artist's master recording — a direct connection between owning the physical record and accessing the digital work.
0xSplits distributes royalties on-demand: 80% artist / 20% RecordPool. No intermediaries. No 18-month wait. Programmable, transparent, and auditable.
User holds phone to NFC chip on vinyl record. Chip generates unique URL with UID + hardware play counter.
API validates the SDM signature, creates a tap session, and redirects browser to the /tap page.
Client queries Ethereum Attestation Service on Sepolia — looks up the UID to verify onchain record provenance.
On attestation match: audio playback unlocks and a 0xSplits royalty distribution is triggered automatically.
80% flows to the artist. 20% to RecordPool. Onchain, immediate, auditable by anyone.
App Router, Server Components, API routes. Wagmi + Viem for Ethereum. WalletConnect for wallet auth.
Ethereum Attestation Service on Sepolia testnet. Custom schema anchoring chip UID to record metadata.
Immutable onchain split contracts. 80/20 artist/pool ratio. Permissionless distribution.
SDM (Secure Dynamic Messaging) chips. Unique URL per tap with AES-128 CMAC authentication.
Module-based DAO tooling for managing registry admin access and protocol upgrades.
Ethereum testnet. Production-ready architecture — mainnet deployment is a config change.

Per-tap royalty distribution via 0xSplits
Every authenticated tap triggers a micro-royalty. Accumulates across thousands of plays.
Labels and distributors pay to register new records — UID attestation + NDEF writing service.
Gated content tiers — bonus tracks, liner notes, live recordings — unlockable by chip owners.
AI-driven design sprint kickoff. Problem framing, EAS schema design, NFC chip research and hardware procurement.
End-to-end integration: tap API, EAS query client, 0xSplits contract wiring, admin panel for batch chip registration.
Polish, live demo with real vinyl. "Teddy Bear Boogie" authenticated and played back in front of EF judges.

Migrate EAS attestations and 0xSplits contracts from Sepolia to Ethereum mainnet. Config-level change — architecture is production-ready.
Onboard independent labels to register new pressings. Provide chip embedding service and admin tooling for batch NDEF write + EAS attestation.
Link chip tap to collector wallet identity. Build tap history, play-count leaderboards, and provenance transfer on record resale.
Unlock bonus tracks, hi-res masters, and digital liner notes gated by chip ownership — a new revenue channel for artists.
Activate Zodiac modules so artists and collectors govern the EAS schema registry — decentralizing the protocol over time.
Expand 0xSplits to Layer 2s (Base, Optimism) for near-zero gas royalty distributions on high-volume catalogs.
RecordPool EAS makes physical vinyl the source of truth for music rights — secured by NFC hardware, anchored by EAS attestations, and distributed by 0xSplits.
We're looking for label partners, collectors, and EF ecosystem collaborators to scale the protocol.
